I would always be happy to give advice to people. first off tho let me say that your style you picked for Tanuki blade is just fab! you got an old look to your comic BUT it feels as if you'v revived an old style and made it new and freash. and I like how your useing natural materials to colour your comic were most internet comic artist use Sai paint or photoshop. and the begining is good so far and so are the charecter.

This would be the only advice I'd give and its only something for you to try out if you become curious enough to try it. would be to add a second tone of shadeing to the comic. what I mean by this is that you have the first cout of coloure on the charecter and then the shadeing, if you added another stoke of shadeing over the shadowed area were it starts then it will give another cout and the more shadeing a painting has the more it stands out. I did a collage project not too long back useing ink (which share the same sorta technics with water colour) and I used about 4-5 shades to coloure my charecter's and the more of the shadows I added the more the charecter stuck out. this is only a sucjestion since I do like the way they comic is but if you feel the need to try something new and see how thigns turn out i'd say give it a shot.

and lastly parhaps some more pictures of the charecters, poseing or jsut doing something thats not related to the comic. like sketches or a doodle in pencil your really proud of. the more sketches or pictures you post of the charecter the more likely chance you will get soemone comming across the picture and looking at the comic.
